Rosette Chidiac

With a background in Psychology and Social Work, I bring with me 5 years of experience in the Mental Health sector. As a Social Worker, I have worked in the areas of Aged Care, Perinatal Mental Health, Homelessness and with Children, Young People, and their Families. I am currently working within the Catholic Social Services Sector, supporting a team of Counsellors, Social Workers and Psychologists in working with Children and Families through offering Clinical Supervision as well as Clinical Support to various communities in need.

Through my Practice, I help individuals utilise their personal strengths and environment to achieve the best possible outcomes for their mental wellbeing. As a Mental Health Social Worker, I am trained to pull on many modalities to support my clients, ensuring the therapeutic work is collaborative and client centred.

I practice from a strengths-based and solutions focussed lens. When working with me, you can expect an initial discussion exploring the many facets of your life that you feel are important. You can also expect discussions around your strengths and existing supports. These discussions will allow us to collaboratively work towards meeting your wellbeing needs.

Alongside my clinical practice, I am an active member within my Catholic Parish. I have held various volunteer and employed roles within the Catholic Church at both a Parish and Diocesan level for over 15 years. I recognise the role religion can have upon a person's wellbeing and seek to offer a service that embraces one’s faith. Through this, I have worked with several Catholic groups in presenting Mental Health groups and talks as well offering Mental Health Advocacy services.
